About Us
Here at Indianapolis Candle Company, we value spaces that curate peace and calmness. Unfortunately, some individuals in our own community lack access to safe homes. Because of this, we want to emphasize the importance of making others feel "at home" – for both our customers and fellow Indianapolis citizens. For each uniquely scented and branded slow-burning, soy candle sold here at Indianapolis Candle Company, 10% of revenue will go towards helping others feel safe and get the support they need at a local not-for-profit, the Julian Center. This organization helps individuals recover from domestic abuse.
Indianapolis Candle Company started as a student-run business from Butler University's Real Business Experience Class. We now continue without affiliation to BU. We thank each and every one of you for allowing us to use this opportunity to engage in small businesses and use our platform to help those in need.
The Julian Center
The Julian Center is an organization that helps support and empower those who have been affected by domestic violence and sexual violence. They create a safe place in which victims and survivors can come for resources and support in their next steps towards both feeling and living safely. The center provides emergency services, whether it is counseling, shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, a variety of housing options, legal services, community outreach, and a variety of resources listed on their website in which women can use with the Julian Center. The Julian Center is one of the largest organizations in Indiana that help support survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, and they are located on 2011 N Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN.
Indianapolis Candle Company looks forward to helping support the Julian Center one candle at a time, by donating 10% of our proceeds to the center at the end of the year.
